Daughter wants more predictable, lighter periods and better control of acne. Says she has no plans for intercourse, which I believe, at least for now. Is she more likely to have sex earlier than she might have?

Well i would maybe say yes in this situation is better to be safe then sorry and it might help her out just try it and see how things go from there

- because i was in high school i had bad cramps during my periods.
- and also she be protected of getting pregnant if she ever have sex and hearing her saying she pregnant and this also her periods to be normal the being irregular.

yes you should let her. Also if she does decide to have sex ould you rather her get pregnant? my sister got on birth control when she was 11 to help regulate her period. didn't have sex till she was 17.

i would suggest you try other treatments first for stuff like the acne. and maybe wait for the periods to settle, at her age they probably aren't regular yet anyway. so it might be best to allow her cycle to develop rather than suppressing it and bringing on a fake withdrawal bleed every month - there's no point, as they're not really periods. sometimes birth control can be more trouble than it's worth with girls having to try all different types and getting side effects. but if she is planning to become sexually active then i say yes definitely. remember she might be using the periods as an excuse to get the pills, some girls do. if not, i don't think being on the pill would make her have sex earlier than she might otherwise, although you never know.

That is interesting I ask for that to and mom said no because they make it harder for you to have child later on! And she wants grandkids in the future! I would say NO she will find that eating thing like strawberries are suppose to help and pine nuts and sunflowerseeds! Go online and find natural ways to help!

She probably wants to have intercourse because she is reaching the age of intense lust for boys, but it is very good that she is smart enough to want to protect herself. You have raised a smart kid, however yes she will be having sex.Yes it's OK,The pill can be for light periods also slimming.

At 14, your hormones aren't anywhere near settled. Adding in extra hormones could screw up the hormones that are trying to settle naturally and affect her future fertility.The pill often guves younger, more immature girls a false sense of security and they get lazy when taking them or misuse them in some way, which makes them more susceptable to pregnancy.All in all, it seems like a bad idea. She can tough it out.
