I have been dating exclusively through the internet for a few years now. In the process of e-mailing & chatting back & forth, I often mention that I regularly go to the tanning salon. More often than not, these women seem to be surprised and or, put off by this. I would have thought just the opposite.Most guys look forward to a nicely tanned woman. I would have thought the same in return. Girls, care to shed any light on this???

One is it does sound like a guy is too into themselves when they do that. Well....There are numerous reasons why girls don't find that attractive. Another reason is a woman likes a man to be manly and that is NOT a manly think to do in most of our books. Another is, maybe you are gay (not my actual opinion of you) but that just a reason women may think.

I know that this is just a generalisation and you're probably not, but if a guy told me that he was going to a tanning salon then I would assume he's either gay or self obsessed and very materialistic and that his expectations of me would be too high heat burn fat slimming wrap salon. I would be put off by it too unless I knew you and knew that you were none of the above.

This can be a turn off for people because they believe they are dealing with someone who is not up to speed with the latest health info. Plus its not as if you happened to be working out in the sun and got a tan, you went to a tanning salon which seems kind of prissy. Tanning bed tans tend to be orange looking, and people who are into tanning are usually really stupid people who arent concerned about skin cancer and still think its cool to fry their skin. This might give the impression that you are fussy about your looks and vain.

Perhaps these women feel a bit threatened by it for whatever reason....or at the very least, they are uncomfortable with the idea. Guys tanning at a salon....why the heck not? I dated a gentleman who actually turned me on to the whole tanning bed thing again(after 15yrs hiatus) because he did it. :) Took me to the salon on a casual date.....it was a treat! I live in a cold dark climate and I love visiting the tanning beds. So anyhoo, there is my two cents worth!

u don't hear many guys who go to the beach or go to tanning salons to get tanned. i would personally be curious why u need to do that, but if it makes u happy, then go for it slimming creams. good luck :) it's just how the society thinks of some things. i think alot of people stereotype "tanning" as a girly thing slimming exercises.

You aren't going to like my comment but you asked for it. Sorry but going to a tanning salon sounds like you're up yourself. Men should be physical. Go outdoors and dig the garden to get a tan. Men going to Tanning salons sounds like they're pretentious and lazy and scared of hard work!! Not husband material.Or they are the superficial ones that are have huge egos and are quite annoying in an actual conversation. Okay dont take this the wrong way, but most of the guys that I personally know that go tanning are the gay ones. Like I said please dont take it personally but that is coming from experience with this situation.

just personal preference. i don't like it. i think it shows that a guy is high maintenance. i think a natural tan can be sexy, from like working outside all day. but not so much with a tanning salon tan.

it just sounds so vain heat burn fat slimming wrap salon. women can be a little picky, we want our men well kept and groomed, but not too much because then it seems girly. i would hold off on this piece of information until you get to know the woman better slimming creams.

as for myself, i dont go by what someone looks like, i mean dont get me wrong if he is too ugly then i wont date or anything but most women look to find someone that she knows will treat her right and take care of her heat burn fat slimming wrap salon. if you are bragging about your tan i suggest you not to do it because if i was talking to someone on the net and in the first 30 minutes we talk he is tellin me about his tan, i am not gonna give him a chance. but that is just me, some women out there only want men for looks and money slimming creams.

i guess they consider it kind of vain for a man to be so concerned about their looks.usually it's women who take more care in their apprearance to others....use mirrors more, tan, wear makeup, dress for the occasion. men are usually more laid back.i guess it would be similar to a man saying they won't leave the house without checking out their appearance in a mirror or being concerned or wearing the 'right' clothes on a date.most men i know that take a high level of interest in their appearance are usually too self centered for me. sorry, but that's the way it has worked out in my experiences.

well, my boyfriend is black so he doesn't go tanning, but I think some girls would just find that not manly? I dunno but it's very bad for your skin too and makes you age alot faster.

• It's sad to say but I think it's different for women - as guys like nicely tanned women I think women look for different attributes in a guy, and not the kind of attribute that would drive him to the tanning slaon slimming creams.
• I know it's nothing unusual and that plenty of men do it but still I guess those are my feelings.

Unfortunately, today, any type of special grooming guys do is looked upon as "kind of girly". This been the case, you shouldn't bring this up on your first couple of dates (or conversations), just let them see you and judge for themselves. And if they ask, just tell them the truth. You can even make a date out of it, like "Yeah, I go to the tanning salon, wanna come with me sometime? it's really relaxing..." That way, because they know you better by now, it comes up as something cute, rather than girly or vain. I know, it's unfair, but keep the faith, times are changing. Good luck!

Man, I've gotta tell you those girls are just so weird to be surprised by you getting some tan. There is nothing wrong on that and yes, girls dig guys with nice tan. You are right!I guess those girls may have freaked by the concept of a guy going to a salon to get tanned. (just like the concept of girls lifting weight in a room full of men.) Maybe I have a lot of guy friends who have membership at a tanning salon and go there regularly and that I'm used to it.Honest answer? It sounds a bit superficial. It comes across as you being very into your own look. It may make some women stop and say, "okay he's really into his "look" maybe he's too vain". Or they may feel intimidated as they may not be that secure with thier own appearances and feel like you'd be high maintenance compared with what ever rountine they have. Most women don't take that great a step to try to look good. Maybe they think you'd be more interested in someone who tans also. I don't find it weird at all, but I caution you to be cautious with your skin. Cancer and wrinkles happen very easily.Good luck and happy dating.

Well, to be honest my man goes tanning, and he looks damn good and I don't think any less of him at all. If I want to look good why shouldn't he feel the same way. I know alot of guys that go tanning. Your just dealing with shallow women is all.
